Section 01 - Module 1: Scrum Basics
What is Scrum and how has it evolved?
Section 02 - Module 2: Scrum Theory
Why does Scrum work and what are its core principles?
How are the Scrum principles different from those of more traditional software development approaches, and what is the impact?
Section 03 - Module 3: Scrum Framework and Meetings
How Scrum theory is implemented using time-boxes, roles, rules, and artifacts.
How can these be used most effectively and how can they fall apart?
Section 04 - Module 4: Scrum and Change
Scrum is different: what does this mean to my project and my organization?
How do I best adopt Scrum given the change that is expected?
Section 05 - Module 5: Scrum and Total Cost of Ownership
A system isn’t just developed, it is also sustained, maintained and enhanced.
How is the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of our systems or products measured and optimized?
Section 06 - Module 6: Scrum Teams
Scrum Teams are self-organizing and cross-functional; this is different from traditional development groups.
How do we start with Scrum teams and how do we ensure their success?
Section 07 - Module 7: Scrum Planning
Plan a project and estimate its cost and completion date.
Section 08 - Module 8: Predictability, Risk Management, and Reporting
Scrum is empirical. How can predictions be made, risk be controlled, and progress be tracked using Scrum.
Discussion starts with "Done and Undone" and continues with Quality Assurance in Scrum.
Section 09 - Module 9: Scaling Scrum
Scrum works great with one team. It also works better than anything else for projects or product releases that involve hundreds or thousands of globally dispersed team members.
How is scaling best accomplished using Scrum?

Professional Scrum Master (PSM-I) Training FAQs
How much does PSM certification cost?

The PSM-1 exam costs $150. This price includes only one exam attempt. Averest's PSM Training includes a two-day interactive lecture with post-course coaching, a practise exam, 2 exam attempts, and optional accommodation and transportation.

Is PSM or CSM better?

In many ways, CSM serves as an introduction to Scrum. It is possible to draw parallels between CSM and PSF (Professional Scrum Foundations) rather than PSM-I.

PSM-I training is an advanced course and most people find the PSM-I exam to be much more challenging than the CSM exam.

Is the PSM 1 certification worth it?

Definitely. No one will dispute how up-to-date your expertise is if you have your scrum.org credentials and your resume demonstrates that you've been performing scrum within the previous few years. PMI-accredited professionals state that Scrum.org's trainings are the finest in the business and were crucial in helping them grasp the fundamentals of Scrum. They suggest that PSM courses, especially PSM 2 and 3, be taken in person. While taking a course can help you get started with Scrum, it won't turn you into an expert overnight. You'll also need the will to continue improving and learning as you experiment.
