When preparing a community for an emergency, it is critical to develop strategies for recognized risks and apply mitigation measures. Responding to a fire is not the same as responding to a flood. For each of these circumstances, various actions and resources are required. This course will expose you to some of the fundamental principles of disaster preparedness. In order to understand how these dependencies influence the emergency plan, you will investigate the link between the type of emergency and the type of response.
