Audio Video Production is an introduction and overview of the visual and audio media world. Students learn the fundamentals of video and audio production using professional equipment. How do cameras capture light and record images as analog or digital information? How does sound engineering work, and what are the different elements that turn sound waves into electronic information and back again? How does an editing system function, and how can you use one to make your audience think and feel and experience exactly what you’re trying to accomplish with your production? Students gain knowledge and experience in all of these areas and many more, with extensive hands-on assignments involving video cameras, video, and audio editing, directing, video graphics, writing, producing studio and location productions, pre-production, production, and post-production.
