It is essential for companies to raise the capabilities and qualifications of employees engaged in sphere of the internet technologies. Technology is developing at a very fast pace and affecting the industries in an unexpected way especially networking. This course will enable companies to keep their network up-to-date and help in the design of advanced data centric telecommunications network.
This course is designed to give participants a detailed insight on the Fundamentals of FTTx GPON Technology. During this course the participants will receive basic knowledge of GPON-FTTx networks functionalities, the principles of its works and many other interesting moments. This course will be of great interest to those who are involved in the process of building the fiber optic systems. Furthermore, this course provides a very comprehensive theoretical background as well as extensive practices for real scenarios emulation and analysis
Special Feature / Course Methodology
This 5 day course has been developed with classroom lectures and hands-on skills labs to provide practical understanding and hands-on skills required to properly troubleshoot and maintain fiber-to-the-home (FTTx) networks.
After the training participants will be able to:
Gain detailed insight on the Fundamentals of FTTx GPON Technology
Learn the basics of each FTTx technology starting from an introduction to architectural principles of Access Networks including the different Topologies, site types, Fiber Termination Points and any factor influencing infrastructure deployment.
Acquire more knowledge on the passive optical networks (PONs), starting from the standards
Learn how all the GPON elements communicate, including traffic management and QoS, together with the associated technical terms used on the field work.
Practice the impact of power budget in the PON, ONUs setup and configuration, identify deviations for troubleshooting and understand how bandwidth is allocated and consumed
Learn how to provision services (IPTV, VoIP,HSI) and their assurance (Quality of Experience)
