This course is essential for engineers, supervisors, and operators responsible for the operation and maintenance of all types of draining networks. During the five days, attendees will able to define all components of the network like piping, manholes, wet wells, lift stations, surge vessels, and treatment, also all primary units associated with the network and lift stations will be covered like odor control, screen and grit removal units, they will be provided with some drawing that shows the intersection between the underground drainage system with the other common facilities like water and gas pipelines, power and landline cables and others. Drainage is traditionally maintained by contractors/operators using specialist machinery to clear gullies, pipework, and storage zones of trash and sediment accumulation. The frequency of maintenance is generally determined by routine rather than need to avoid any major shutdown in the whole system, During the five days, attendees will able to define all components of the network like piping, manholes, wet wells, lift stations, surge vessels and treatment, also will be informed in ways to divide the catchments areas into sector and ways to control each sector alone in case of urgency or flooding, the course will include also definition of primary units associated with the network and lift stations like odor control, screen, and grit removal units.
What Do Participants Learn?
Define the historical background of the wastewater network
Outline the difference between separate, combined sewer network and also the difference between the vacuum and pressure network collection system
SCADA control of the network
Define the main operation problems
